Franklin Park
Franklin Park runs between Welcombe Avenue and Bramble Way, with two main paths - a tarmac path leading directly through the park and a gravel path leading through a wooded area to our community orchard.
The community orchard is a great place to pick apples, pears, blackberries, and even quinces, when they're in season!
On the walk through the wooded area, you might be able to spot some apple, plum, and damson trees - absolutely delicious when ripe.
The park is 3.62 hectares / 8 acres in total.Franklin Park also features a childrens play area, and a small sport equipment area with football goals and basketball hoop.
To reach the park by car, your best option will be the Welcombe Avenue entrance, which has a small car park.
By bus, the park is quite close to two major bus routes - the Arriva 104 stops on Henley Crescent, and the Arriva 51 stops near to Ayston Road, a short walk away.
