D-Day - 75th Anniversary - 06/06/2019
The Town Mayor met with RAFA and local veterans to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Remembrance Sunday - 10th November 2019
Town Mayor Parminder Basra was amongst the first to lay a wreath in the Memorial Garden.
A piece of Braunstone Towns 'Poppy Cascade' was hung from the Civic Centre, above the war memorial.
Christmas Craft Fair - 23/11/2019
Our popular Christmas Gifts and Crafts Fair was held at the Civic Centre on the 23rd November 2019. There were two rooms of stalls with a wide variety of gifts and crafts to start your Christmas shopping - along with the tea room and refreshments.
Net proceeds from the event were donated to the Town Mayor‘s Charity – Life Links.
Quiz & Games Night "Around the World" - 29th November 2019
An evening of adventure! A quiz and games featuring topics from around the world. Games intended to challenge, entertain you and get one grey matter spiced up.
But primarily a November evening of fun and something to cheer you up. We’ve got a few more jokes which hopefully will provide a laugh and not too many groans! We look forward to seeing you there!
Net proceeds to be donated to Braunstone Town Community Minibus.
In December 2019, the Town Mayor attended the Harvest Community Church brass band service and the Towns yearly Pantomime - this year, it was Beauty and the Beast.
Commonwealth Day Ceremony - 9th March 2020
Braunstone Town Mayor Parminder Basra hosted a flag raising ceremony to commemorate Commonwealth Day.
The event was hosted in the Braunstone Civic Centre memorial gardens, after which refreshments were served in the Council Chamber.
